Terms of Service
RedAI Studios Pty Ltd, ABN 36 700 870 695. Effective 19 September 2026.
The short version. ReCeipt photographs a receipt and files it in your company's Google Drive. It is a filing tool, not a bookkeeping or tax service, and the amount it reads off a photograph is a suggestion you are expected to check. Your company's agreement with RedAI Studios governs the commercial side; these terms cover using the app.
1. Who this agreement is between
These terms are between RedAI Studios Pty Ltd (ABN 36 700 870 695) — "we", "us" — and the business that has been given access to ReCeipt, together with anyone that business lets sign in — "you".
Where a business has a separate written agreement with us for ReCeipt, that agreement prevails over these terms to the extent they conflict.
2. What ReCeipt does
Someone buys materials for a job, photographs the receipt or picks up a PDF a supplier emailed, says what it is for, and the file is written into their company's Google Drive folder with a structured name and record — so the office can pick it up and reconcile it against the bank account. That is the whole of the service.
3. Who may sign in
You may sign in only with a Google account on a domain your business has had configured, and only if your business has authorised you to. The email domain is what ties a receipt to a company, so signing in with a personal address will not work and is not a way around it.
You are responsible for what is done under your account. Tell the office promptly if you think someone else has used it.
4. Your side of it
- Submit genuine business receipts, and describe them accurately.
- Check the amount before you submit. Where a figure has been read off a photograph, it is a suggestion. If it is wrong, correct it.
- Do not upload anything you do not have the right to upload, and do not use ReCeipt to store material that is not a receipt or supplier invoice.
- Do not attempt to reach another company's receipts, interfere with the service, or work around its limits.
5. Your receipts stay yours
Files you upload go into your company's own Google Drive folder and belong to your company. We claim no ownership of them. We do not use them to train models, and we do not sell or share them. See the Privacy Policy for what is recorded alongside each file.
We own ReCeipt itself — the software, its name and its design. Nothing here transfers any of that to you.
6. What ReCeipt is not
This matters, because the gap is where money goes missing:
- It is not a bookkeeping, accounting or tax service, and nothing it produces is financial, accounting or tax advice. Your obligations to keep records and substantiate deductions remain yours.
- It does not send anything to your accounting system. Filing a receipt in Drive is not the same as booking a cost.
- It does not delete or move files out of your Drive folder. If a receipt needs removing, remove it in Drive.
- The amount read from a photograph is a reading, not a verification. Where nothing could be read the app says so rather than guessing, and never records a zero in place of an unknown figure.
7. Availability
We aim to keep ReCeipt available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. It depends on Google and Cloudflare, and an outage at either can stop it working. We may change or withdraw features, and will give reasonable notice of a change that materially reduces what the service does.
Receipts that cannot be uploaded stay queued on the device and are visibly marked as not yet sent. They are not lost, but they are also not filed until they upload.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where our liability can lawfully be limited, it is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from your reliance on a figure the app read from a photograph and you did not check.
9. Suspension and ending access
Your company can stop your access at any time. We may suspend or end access to a business that breaches these terms, or where we are required to. Ending access does not remove receipts already filed — they are in your company's Drive and stay there.
10. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the effective date above changes with them, and a change that materially affects your business will be notified to it before taking effect. Continuing to use ReCeipt after that is acceptance of the change.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
